HI All,I have worked on this for months using various models from different folks and it would never work out right (always some part of the model was messed up)...now I have used the NALW D9-40CW from their pack and it works like a champ.....so here are a few picks to whet the appetite. I still need to request permission before I can upload these...so standby for a couple of days or so.There are a few boo boos on this one, like the purplish stripe is wider than the redish stripe on the middle section of the unit and it should be the other way around....and I had no rear view of the unit to ensure it was painted correctly...also the lighting needs to be worked on so that I can get the lights in the right places for this repaint....stuff like that.Rick
>(although the real "Pepsi Cans" are four-axle) Er..I believe that Rick mentioned that there were issues with skinning the four-axled models. <g>Nice job, Rick! Better extra axles than muffed up paint, IMHO.Henry
Hey guys,I hadn't really noticed that particular issue while I was reskinning the unit so I will list the model as a fantasy repaint to preclude any issue folks have with the 2 or 4 axles..Thanks for the keen observation Trainfreak.. Also NALW gave permission to upload this so I will have it out in a couple of days...Rick
Well, I started on one, but lack of resources (including both time and detailed enough reference material) have forced me to not get very far. A lot of the detail work has to be freehanded since I don't have detailed drawings (the closest I have are B40-8 drawings from a MR issue), and there's enough differences that that was mainly useful for the more general dimensions. If you know of a source for these drawings, or someone willing to help with the modeling, I'm definitely willing to share in the production.
Hi Smmille1,So far what you have looks great and I would love to get the right unit for the paint scheme....I have been working, for the repaint, from an Atlas "O" products 2002 catalog....it has some great pictures of the models but no information about length or drawings.....so only helpful if you are repainting....good luck with the model and let me know if you need other info.Rick
