RE: FBL SD40's are *ALMOST* Complete

Hello,
I can send you a modified version of the plus files:
I removed three parts, those ones I used to add yellow faces, it will save some polygons and symplify the paint job.
For those who are interested, I can send the original TSM file.

Shawn-
Just a thought. Put a steady headlight above the cab, then have Kelley do his Mars light thing to the bottom, a la SP. Would look neat on the Bucket.

It's a interesting idea, but i'd rather get the units finished and then have mods done later, it's too confusing keeping track of eng file and stuff already let alone with one gets cool lights

Hi Dadbil, The trick to getting the captions is to upload your pictures, and rather then leave them as attachments, you link to them on the T-S server, which means your msg would be typed something like this
http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/User_files/cut n' paste the name of the photo in the attachment box
this is a 44 tonner, etc, blah blah
and you repeat that for each photo you want to have a caption for, it's kinda confusing, but you'll get the hang of itP.S. I think these SD40's are a dead project, I lost motivation to do them, and there are other problems as well

That is unfortunate, however I could finish them for you if you like. Just zip what you have done so far, as well as a text document explaining what you want for the remaining units, and attach it to an e-mail. My address is vnikiforovs@rogers.com.
BTW, after I finish the FBL AC44s, I'm taking a break from repaints and spending my free time doing something else for a while, so if you do decide to send them, they may sit on my hard drive for a while, but they will get done (eventually). Jonathan Nikiforovs.

Jon, All my source Files are in Photoshop PSD format, so unless you got photoshop, you'll lose all the layers, which I uses very extensivly, Also The S files are screwed, The wont recompress, but if you still want them, let me know

I have Adobe PhotoDeluxe, which is compatible with .PSD files (and their layers). So yes, send the files. As for the .s files, just send the original ones you used before you uncompressed/modifed them. I can change them as necessary. Just make sure you tell me which .s file is to be used for each unit.Jonathan Nikiforovs.

thats another thing, I decompress all shapes before I reskin, so there all decompressed and the originls are nowhare to be seen, you'd have to modify eng files, for non dyn, and dyn operation, play with the Freightanimtag, add, remove spec for the dirty clean units, and make use of extensive alpha options, It's alot of stuff to do, I bit off more then I could chew this time, I dont think you can chew it either, But If you choose to do it, Just do whatever as you see fit, Your on your own for these, I'm also gonna have to set up a server for you to download them from, because the files is 12 megs, zipped, no way thats gonna fit in anyone's mailbox

Send the "uncompressable" .s files you used.
This project may be big, but I will give it a shot, even if I have to finish it all by myself, and if I too decide to give up, then it's no loss to anyone, since this project would have been stillborn anyway.
BTW how would I find the server you plan to set up so I can D/L the files?Jonathan Nikiforovs.

Don't let it die. Easiest way to transfer large files is Yahoo Messenger. I believe it uses P2P, not uploading to a server and then downloading it. You may want to try it.

I wanna highball it through Woodstock, Ont. on none other than...THE TURBOTRAIN!!!
