Here is something to releive those overburdened C30-7s and SD40-2s on heavy coal trains on the Full Bucket Line, an FBL AC4400! I concieved this project not only to infuse some more modern power into the FBL stable, but also to add an appropriate engine for heavy drag work. The roster numbers will begin at 9800, and I will use NALW's model.
I am currently creating some grayscale texture templates for this project, and the livery will be closly based on the scheme applied to Tvrail's FBL Dash 9 set. Any comments or suggestions?Jonathan Nikiforovs.

RE: FBL AC4400 coming up!

Just found out that the FBL Dash 9's end at 9800 instead of 9799 as I assumed they would have. I'm sure Björn can easily change that, and if not, I can always select a slightly higher road number to start with.Jonathan Nikiforovs.

Progress Report 1

LAST EDITED ON May-01-03 AT 00:59 AM (EDT)

I have finished the templates and have begun applying paint. Here is my current progress. NOTE: I borrowed some of the details from TKW's CSX AC4400 Pack 2 (reskins of NALW's model), and from Roger Campeau's CEFX unit. I hope none of you mind.
Keep an eye on this post for further updates.Jonathan Nikiforovs.

RE: Progress Report 1

That's a good idea, but I can't decide whether to use 3DTS's model, or wait for NALW to finish their EMD megapack, which will hopefully be available before the end of summer (Fat Chance!)Jonathan Nikiforovs.

RE: Progress Report 1

FBL and its fanbase are getting larger and have stayed with it. Other routes come and go, hardly even being mentioned anymore. Yet FBL continues to perservere. I'm betting that after the release of v3, it will be right up there with the top 5 best routes (with its distinctive rollingstock, of course). Even the very best are not mentioned until a new innovation or piece of rollingstock comes along. FBL, almost every week on average. New rollingstock, activities, etc. It might be scary to some. But,hey! just one opinion of many.
