Here's a quick screengrab of two RF&P GP40-2's I've been working on. I've got a couple more to do before release, as well as some new RF&P rolling stock. The GP's should be uploaded this weekend.RF&P Fans – image 2Chris Denbow - Baltimore, MD

Michael, my plan was to release two sets, each set containing two GP40's and a wide-vis, so I'll crank out a wide-vis tonight and get it setup.I'll upload the set to my website and put out the URL so everyone can get it "ahead of time", then take it off my site when it's uploaded to the file library here. That way you can play with them over the weekend. Chris Denbow - Baltimore, MD

Chris, one thing I have noticed is ppl, when they do a non-dynamic unit do not remove the dynamics from the eng file. You going to?Kevin Arceneaux

Yep, I have modified a bunch of equipmnet that has dynamic included in the eng file. It is really simple to remove. Kevin Arceneaux

Those look rather nice; thank you for your work. It's always good to see more Virginia-based locomotives.

RE: RF&P Fans

Terrific locos there Chris!! Was RF&P a railroad with "directional locos"?i remember reading in Trains mag some years back that RF&P had even numbered units facing north and odd numbered units facing south (might be other way around) - is this true???Could directional locos be set up for MSTS??Cheers

Thanks for all the kind words guys. My website is http://cpl.railfan.net , but I've had baby duty all weekend, so I haven't had a chance to mess with these since Friday. All I've done over the weekend is install the new KP Sub and Hamilton Norfolk routes.Mike (ASR_Q301), you're correct about the RF&P operating directional locos. They had them equipped for bidirectional use (but Justin Cornell's model doesn't have rear horns, only a rear bell for Canadian units) so that they could be run long-hood forward, that way they didn't need to turn engines in Richmond or Pot Yard. That's why you'll never see an elephant-style lashup on the RF&P. IIRC, even-numbered units faced north, and odd-number units faced south.Chris Denbow - Baltimore, MD
