I won't be able to start work on it until after this weekend, but I'll put something together. On a purely historical note, I don't believe the NKP ever owned F7s, and it seems that the N&W's F7s were all inherited from the Wabash. The N&W scheme applied to these unit is less than inspiring (all black with small N&W heralds on the rear of the unit). I'll start with a Wabash unit:Message Areas - "anyone resike a EMDF7 in norfolk and western or NKP" – image 1

"RE: anyone resike a EMDF7 in norfolk and western or NKP" LAST EDITED ON Aug-05-01 AT 03:39 AM (EST)Here's an update on the Wabash F7 project:Message Areas - "anyone resike a EMDF7 in norfolk and western or NKP" – image 2 Here's the prototype photo I used for reference:Message Areas - "anyone resike a EMDF7 in norfolk and western or NKP" – image 3Between 1949 and 1951, the Wabash purchased 127 A-B F7 sets. These were initially numbered 1100-1108, 1140-1189, and were eventually renumbered 600-726. Norfolk & Western inherited these units in 1964 in the Wabash-NKP-N&W merger. Most of the skin is completed. I still need to add some minor details, such as road grime, and a "well-worn" look. Should be ready in a day or so.Also, the locomotive pictured in my previous post (WAB 1002) is in reality an E7.Cameron Lashley,

"RE: anyone resike a EMDF7 in norfolk and western or NKP" The prototype photo above is of Wabash 1189, as restored and operated by the Monticello Railway Museum in Illinois. The Mad River & NKP Museum in Bellevue, Ohio owns Wabash 671. The 671 is on static display. The 1189 has been restored to its initial Wabash road number, while the 671 wears the Wabash number it was given after dieselization was complete (the 671 was initially numbered 1134).
