I am having a problem with the 1024 X 1024 skins. What program Repacks them into ace files?.I normally use TGAtool and it says 512 X 512 only.what can I use? ED
Hi... Go back to the site where you got TGATOOL2 and get a program called "SHOW".With this program there is a window to "re-size".Create a bitmap with TGATOOL2 and copy it into "SHOW". Resize the bitmap to 1024 X 1024 and re-load it into TGATOOL2. With "Updated Makeace", , do the same with the alpha channel by double clicking on it to your editing program..and re-save it as a bitmap..then load it into "SHOW" and do the same, (with the alpha channel, you'll need to make a new alpha channel in TGATOOL2 and select/ copy and paste the re-sised 1024 x 1024 bitmap of the alpha channel to the new alpha channel in TGATOOL2 and save to "Updated Makeace". You'll then have your 1024 x 1024 tectures...hope that helps...Paul.
Ok I just tried that and it only packs 512 X 512 will not pack anything larger. The File I am using is a Bitmap formatI am sure there is a tool out there for doing sizes like that but which one.
I also use MakeAceWin all the time to make 1024 textures. Just check off the "Make Cab Bitmap" (or whatever it's called), check the two boxes "Clamp Output" and enter 1024 in the two boxes. Note that to do this your original image must be 1024x1024 ... you cannot resize a smaller graphic.Ray
