Two more repaints, one freshly painted, the other pretty weathered. Both units should compliment nicely the ones I posted previously here:http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID8/3996.html (the Lehigh & New England RS2 and the Reading RS3).Lehigh Valley's RS2 No. 214. and....... Central Railroad of New Jersey RS3 No. 1457 (rode hard, and put-up wet). Regards,Mark

Mark,The LV unit looks really good, BUT........ that CNJ RS-3 is way off.See pic below. CNJ RS-3's were 1540 to 1555 and 1700 to 1709The blue color is much to light as well. For CNJ stuff, you can visit my web site:http://www.thebluecomet.com Bob StaplesPS. No hard feelings

Hey Bob, thanks for the input (constructive criticism, intended to improve the project, is always welcome).Yes, your right about the number.....appears you caught me having a "senior moment", where apparently I became dyslexic and transposed 1547 to 1457! The photo below was my "inspiration".....Regarding the color....might be off some, but since weathering is never uniform from the original and no two will weather the same, I can live with it. And there are a few other flaws, but I can't do anything about the mapping or model to change them.Would have replied about 2 hrs earlier, but had to spend a few hours at your site - thanks for the link. I believe I've visited there before, but under a different URL address, no? And, since the route I'm working on concentrates on the Easton area, have to confess to stealing a few pics from your site to use as reference for that project. Loved the station pics...as I grew-up in Easton, worked and schooled in Bethlehem and Allentown, lived in both Emmaus and Macungie, was really able to feel at home there, and recommend all that uploaded Werner's Lehigh Valley route check out this site for really good insight to the locale and get a flavor of it all.Bby the way.....the "Blue Comet" has crossed my mind numerous times as a likely candidate for future projects!Again, appreciate the comments.Mark
RE: A Couple more units for the Lehigh Valley Route
Just to be honest, the highlight technique you using looks awful. Natural light doesn't fall on objects at 45 and 90 degrees.I think your repaints would look much better without them.
