RE: Southern 86' Boxcar 6-Pack

Kevin,
Are you talking of doing all 86 Boxcars in one folder? or just roads with multiple numbers? If you prefer to do all 86' boxcars, let me know and I will be happy to work with you.
Thanks!Mykel

RE: Southern 86' Boxcar 6-Pack

It really depends. I think like with Kelley's reskins you could do it by railroad/type since he makes more than one of each. Some of the others you would put in packs by type of car.Kevin Arceneaux

Hey Kyle,
Don't think you have to worry about compitition. The roads I am most interested in are done, so I will do reskins of different cars. BTW, your N&W car looks very good.As for the pack, they will all be in one folder. 6 different numbers each with full and empty wag files. Thanks!

RE: Southern 86' Boxcar 6-Pack

Mykel:Thank you for this great addition to the trainsim community. I'm modeling a route with the "southern" end stopping just north of the Doraville GM plant - lots of these cars in the yard - so they will be put to good use! Thanks very much for releasing these!Happy HolidaysMark

RE: Southern 86' Boxcar 6-Pack

Just to let ya'll know, the cars have been uploaded (hopefully all will go well) so they should be available in a few days! I decided to put all the cars in one zip, comes out to about 7.5mb. Also, if anyone is interested in doing weathered versions, please do! I have not had much success with weathering.Mark, can't wait to see your route! Will be nice to have a SOU/NS route to run on.Thanks for all the replies and Happy Simming everyone!Mykel

They'll fit in just fine on the Conrail Indianapolis Line.If you're all looking for an industry that uses these cars, this route will feature the General Motors Indianapolis Metal Center, just west of downtown Indy. Three long tracks for loading hi-cubes. Almost every eastbound out of Indy had a nice-sized block of hi-cubes (mostly Conrail, but many others mixed in) somewhere in it.

No problem. These cars are probably the funnest and easiest cars to reskin. A big thanks to Deksoft!

RE: Southern 86' Boxcar 6-Pack

Hi Scotty:The route in the picture is one I'm building and hope to release one day. Southern Railroad (or Norfolk Southern - the track hasn't moved much!) from just north of Atlanta to just south of Greenville, SC. It's probably a year away - I post update pictures in the Screenshot Forum every once in a while. I've completed about 11 miles of a 128 mile mainline, and plant a least one tree a day!Glad you liked the picture!Mark
