Question for you artist/experts:Looks like I'm about to venture into some scenery painting and reskins. There's a $59 Paintshop Pro out there ($89 with $30 rebate). Is that the one to get?Does the download contain enough documentation to keep me out of trouble? Thanks to allMark A Southern Railway Fan

Thanks Pete and Lu:As soon as the DVD/Playstation/CD "Is Christmas really next week?" crowd dies down, I'll head over that way! Thanks for the recommendation.Mark A Southern Railway Fan
Anyway, I hope you get your copy soon! I suspect you plan to use PSP to add some special touches to that route you've been promising. I can't wait to try out TA's Southern 4-6-2 on it.
Well,,,,,Amazon wins! Thanks Bing.Bud, I'm flattered that you want to run the Southern 4-6-2 on my route - I'm plodding along - one mile at a time. With help from the forum, I reskined a tractor trailer truck the other day. There was a TIP van (by Bruce Giroux) in the library, and I needed a parking lot full of trailers, but without a logo on the side. So, I used tgatool to open it, and microsoft paint, and erased the logo so I could have lots of blank vehicles on the lot. It worked so well, I tried to paint something. That's when I realized I needed to have a real paint program.I have lots of silo's and grain elevator type things on this route - and there are some great models in the library - but I need to make them look different. Paint is the logical easy first step to doing that. That's how I got to the question of where to get the most popular program. The route is really coming along slow. It runs from mile 495 in Easley, SC to mile 623 in Doraville, GA. Mainline track is done, but scenery started at mile 571, and I'm currently working on the 581-582 mile. So it's really slow. Here's a screenshot of the scene I was creating when I learned how to change a skin. I hope you like it. Hang in there and I'll do the same and release this thing one day.Mark A Southern Railway Fan
Thanks for the update! With all the NS fans here, and all the great NS locos and rolling stock in the file library, a real Southern route is bound to be popular.
