You said you wanted it so I did it!The Seaboard E8 in the Citrus livery used on the Orange Blossom Special has been uploaded today and should be available soon.I uploaded units #3057 and #3059. Both units are painted in the revised scheme which substituted dark trucks, fuel tanks, pilot and roof for the original silver trucks, fuel tanks and pilot and the yellow roof.I hope to finish two more units with the original paint which is much more colorful.I hope that you like them and find them useful. I could not have done this without the help of many of you on this forum. You know who you are so please accept my thanks.Rick
Not sure. It was available in an E7. That was what I was working on when I changed it to the E8. The paint job on the E7 is harder because it wraps up the side and over the roof.I have learned quite a bit doing the E8 and another reskin of a Seaboard GP7 for Carey. It may be a bit easier for me to do now.I am not knowledgeable with the specifics of the different locos. There are a couple more threads on this back farther. I believe someone had info about which units actually used the scheme. Take a look and let me know.I'll see what I can do about revisiting the E7/F7 when I hear from you. Email me direct if you can in case I do not see your response here.
The Seaboard Air Line did not own any F7 units. SAL only ran E units on their passenger trains during the 40's & 50's. During the 60's some GP18 freight units were called into service on mail trains. The only exception was three Baldwin "Baby Face" light weight passenger units. They were painted in the both the Citrus Scheme and the mint green/red stripe scheme. These units were only owned by the NYC and the SAL. If you would like to see a pic, I have some.Carey
