Here are some profile shots of my newest CSX reskins. I am still working on the lighting (trying some things out). These should be out from TKW by this weekend hopefully. As with all of my reskins, these are being released "clean" right now. I am currently working on some CSX GP38-2's, and after those are released, I plan on going back and weathering all of my reskins for re-release. These are all reskins of Justin Cornell's GP40-2 model.CSXT GP40-2 6486

>Chris are you planning to use the new cabview with any of
>these models?Actually Claude, I don't have the MSTS updates, so I myself don't have the new cabview, but I can check out John Rosh's (Concaddy) cabview alias from his new SD40-2's and put it in there, since it seems that most people have the new updates installed.I personally like the old default cabview, since you unprototypically look through the windshield (nice wide view) instead of the prototypical view through the vertical window. I run MSTS more for railfanning then actually playing engineer, so the older default view doesn't bother me, but I'll alias to the new one on the uploaded GP's. Chris Denbow - Baltimore, Md.

I would love to see the new cabview used but I guess much time would be needed to repaint the nose into the various paint schemes that the CSX uses.

Could you paint an sd40 in the Seaboard Coast Line scheme. There's an sd45,gp38 and gp35 in the SCL scheme.A gp40 would also be nice.Just a thought.

You might want to check out The A-Line's website for the SCL locos you mention- -don't know what their URL is these days, though.

I think their site is still down.I haven't been able to get in.I know that they only have the sd45 ans gp38 in SCL colors.I haven't seen an sd40 or gp40 in that color on their site.

>Currently some GP38s are in some Chessie System paint too. Not on CSX. As I said before, only GP40 6854 is still active and in Chessie paint. 6565, 6602 & 6629 are in storage in Waycross, and CSX retired all of their GP38's years ago. If you're looking on Dean Heacock's CSX Photo Archive for loco dispositions, don't go by that. Once again, if you're looking on Dean Heacock's CSX Photo Archive for loco dispositions, don't go by that. Allen Brougham's Bullsheet is THE up-to-date info center for CSX loco dispositions:http://209.147.66.23/roster.cfm?class=CHESSIEDean Heacock's roster on his CSX Photo Archives site is out of date. Case in point, Dean still has a few GP40 "pumpkins" listed as active, although they are all retired. Allen Brougham's is up to date, since Allen is a retired CSX tower operator and still has access to such information. And the photos on Dean's site are way old! Notice the lack of ditchlights, rust and peeling paint. Here is the most current photo I have of 6565, back on April 1, 2000:CSX GP40's & GP40-2's from TKW – image 34Not too long after that, it was put into the railroad equivalent of death row, MOW service.Chris Denbow - Baltimore, Md.

He does photo updates every other month or so, as he uploads at least 40-50 new photos each time.EDIT: His last update was back on 10/17, and the 4 Chessie GP40's were still online then, as well as the last MOW GP40's, so that explains that little mixup. He added 98 new photos on this last update.Chris Denbow - Baltimore, Md.

CSXT 9703 & 9726 (MOW GP40's) were ex-RF&P units. 9726 was retired not too long ago, while the 9703 has been retired for a while. Also of note, while I'm at it. 6248 is the only GP40-2 that is a Train Control Unit equipped to lead on the RF&P (along with most of the CW60AC's, SD60M's & SD60I's).Chris Denbow - Baltimore, Md.
