There aren't blank skins for every engine. Just some people make them for their models. I always repaint the original model creator's skin, if possible. Catch me in the chat if you want to talk about it...
Icyfire, the undecorated skins i made for the Dash9,SD70 were done with countless hours of "duplicating layers",and different effects like inner bevel, and outer bevel(3d effect in PSP7),and "blinds"(air filters)etc.First i would take a original tga,or bmp file, pick a grey on my color palet and start painting over all the area(outside the lines and inside the lines),making sure not to paint over the original details, like panel doors, air filters etc.It would take me over an hour to explain how and what i do to make a blank template. There is a easier way to make a blank template, open the file, and choose "grey scale"in psp7,or what ever painting program you have, then to remove all the text, just find a are on the bitmap that is without text, use your "selection" tool(dotted line-box?),go to the "layer" tab on your task bar, scroll down to "duplicate" layer and using your mouse(left-click,and hold)you can move the new layer and line it up with the area you want cover...easy right?I'm not very good at explaining things, sorry.I have a Undecorated skin of Jason Dilworth's SD40-2...if ya want it?You will have to use the shape file that i use, cause any other one, won't work.
IcyFire, what are you trying to repaint? I have some blank templates of Justin Cornell's engines, maybe I could do something for you. THANKS AARON SSWGP60@HOTMAIL.COM
Thanks for the offer, But im good, I just ask because some people dislike repaints of there repaints, as for actual painting, I don't have any problems it's kinda fun

Some of you guys are really gonna' like the Paintshed for MSTS by Auran...Just drop the color in and 'poof!' a brand new piece of rolling stock - rivets and all. Cheers! Marc - 3DTrains http://www.3dtrains.com
I wish i could download from Auran's site, but it seems that they now require that you have the product ID number from 'Trainz' in order to download anything, including stuff for MSTS...
