Just wondered what happened overnight?Obviously the original post has been pulled (re WP713 vs Transcom and copyright).I had notification in my mailbox that there were messages on this forum and have tried to check them out. I guess it was decided to pull the post altogether for some reason - well I guess I can imagine the way it might have gone, which is unfortunate - and I didn't get to read the last 3(ish) posts. I'd just like to apologise to anyone who was reading/following the threads, and if I had anything to do with it being pulled. That's the last thing I want to do on a public forum. I don't think I said anything slanderous or made any personal attacks, I was just trying to discuss something that IMHO needs clarifying a bit more. I hope nobody took it the wrong way.Best regards Ken Wright
Ken, I have always found your input appropriate and helpful and courteous. I didn't see the post, but I am sure it was not your comments that created the issues, what ever they were. I think one tought on copyright problems might be helpful here, If possible, consider just releasing a project as public domain. You have then taken the issue out of the line of fire, as the entire community is free to do with it as they please. Now you may see it used in an uncredited form, but you gave them permission, so you should not get angered when it occurs. To skinners, just one more point. I don't think I have ever seen a designer or originator complain about too much credit and praise for their generous efforts. It takes so little time to give credit and thank the authors, it will repay many times over!!! Don't forget that step. Bob
