The new fictional Midwest and Rocky Mountain RR GP9's #6900 and 6902 reskins are now available in the download section of my website (see below. This is a one file zip file containing both GP9's. Unzip file to temp folder then unzip each GP9 zip folder into a new folder in your trainset directory.......both folders should contain a cabview and sound folder.....both Cabview and Sounds are aliased to the GP38 engine, however for added realism I recommend you download the Hinose cabview available in train-sim's download area for added realism. This new livery was inspired by Robert Reedy's excellent ADFFR route....also available here at train-sim.com........Look for more engine reskins and rolling stock in this livery soon.........Robert has kindly adopted this new RR as the official RR of his fictional route. I thank him for that honor...........Also want to thank 3d Trains for their excellent GP9 model and permission to use it for this reskin........Here are some more pics of these new engines on it's adopted route......Thanks everyone......Thank you Stuart Tull for you valuable suggestions........Tim The Spur Line http://tahunter.net/thespurline Appalachia RR

LAST EDITED ON Aug-04-02 AT 05:49 PM (EDT)
Interesting paint scheme......... I seem to recall an image of a shortline GP that operates(ed) on former RI tracks. It also had a sort of RI winglike scheme...but I cant remember the colors or where the pic was...Okkkkaayyy....now I see what all you changed, swapped the black and red on the long hoods, kept the (pain in the a$$ striping), then combined the top2 and bottom2 wing-lets to go from 5 to 3 wings, kept the trucks, and plow...but changed the steps from Bk to Rd. There also seems to be some Wt on the inside of your plows (3rdpic) Nice Job...I'll have to get me one of those.....Matt
RE: Midwest and Rocky Mountain RR GP9's available for d
If you would have read one of my earlier posts, I mentioned that I had borrowed the idea for this livery from the old RI black red and white livery.......simply because I love the livery.......But I think I made enough changes to make it distinctive.........different logos, stripe details variations of red, black and white colors........and some other changes as well......... Hmmm, I can't imagine having enough time to check out everyone's reskins to see what differences there are between it and the original.......but then, whatever floats your boat........ Glad you like it though.........Tim The Spur Line http://tahunter.net/thespurline Appalachia RR
Here are a few more pics of the ADF/Midwest and Rocky Mountain RR GP9 with a some of its own rolling stock....... Tim The Spur Line http://tahunter.net/thespurline Appalachia RR - Midwest & Rocky Mountain RR - ADFRR Route
RE: More pics of the GP9 and it's own rolling stock
I don't believe what I'm seeing! I pinched, but they're still there. Tim, when are you sleeping now It doesn't look like you've taken any time. What more can I say than those are fantastic!btw, We are just in the process of putting elevation route and logo on the loading screens, so it isn't far away. If I knew what I was doing, it'd go a lot quicker, but imho this is much harder than the route editor ever thought about being. You go into it and you're there for awhile. This is back and forth and I get lost Can't wait!
RE: More pics of the GP9 and it's own rolling stock
Hi Robert,Nope, I don't sleep.........although I will have to take a breather to get caught up on the harder part of this.......the paperwork, ie the readme files, etc.....so that I can get them uploaded correctly....let's see, have the little speedster and the boxcar and the other car and.......hmmm......I may be getting lost......Yep, think I had better come to a screeching halt and get those squared away before I forget where I am........Am I forgetting anything else....hmmm.....don't really know.....Oh yeah, what would you like to see next........Hey don't hurry........take your time and I am sure they will come out just fine.......I ran the entire length and found no other problems.........summer of course........so I think you have it for that part of it.......now just need the winter and spring and should be there, don't you think? By the way, used the new track textures that are in the download area.......they look pretty good on the route.....might want to check them out.......Very easy to change over...Anyway, thanks for the kind words.........Hopefully these will be uploaded in the near future.......need some approvals on a couple of these items first...........stay tuned.......
