I must apologize to those who have taken time to download my BN re-skin of the 3DTrains.com SD24. I mainly use dial-up to download files, so I know it can take up some time.I discovered some inaccuracies and have corrected them. An updated version should be available in the File Library by the weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience. Ken Martello Kenm62's MSTS Website3D Train Stuff http://www.3dtrainstuff.com

Glad to see your re-skinning again Ken.By the looks of the BN unit, you haven't lost your touch. If you don't mind me askin',what technique do you use to create the panel doors?...I could never get them to look like yours.
Thanks Don! Actually, I haven't stopped skinning. It just that you'll have to wait until Cajon Pass comes out to see most of the skinning that I've done for the pass several months. I skinned some SD70Ms and some rolling stock that come with the route. As for the door panels, in this case, I started with Marc's original Southern SD24 skin. I separated out the door outlines and highlights and placed them in separate layers in Photoshop. I used blending mode "Multiply" for outline and shadow layers and "Screen" for the highlight layer. That allows for some of the original color to show through. I then reworked some of the panels to more closely resemble the CB&Q/BN locomotive reference photos that I used. >Glad to see your re-skinning again Ken.By the looks of the >BN unit, you haven't lost your touch. If you don't mind me >askin',what technique do you use to create the panel >doors?...I could never get them to look like yours.Ken Martello Kenm62's MSTS Website3D Train Stuff http://www.3dtrainstuff.com
