I wanted to make a repaint of one of the default boxcars, and How do you remove the logo thats already on it?, I mean sure i could just paint it over with no opacity, But i lose the original lines and grooves of the car and end up with blah..

RE: Question about repainting

I'm not sure what paint program your using, but if it's PSP7,I use the "selection'tool and draw a box the same size of the logo that i'm trying to cover up.Try finding a area on the bitmap that will look the closest in color, texture that you want to replace. Now i go to the "Layer" icon on the taskbar, click down to "Duplicate",place your cursor over the box created with the selection tool,left-click with the mouse(hold),now move the image to the area that you want covered up(line it up). Then click the "x" in the upper right hand corner, and choose "save".Another tool i use is "touch-up" tool.I use this tool to smooth out the edges around the new image that i just created.Make sure you make the correct adjustments in the "tool options" before using this tool. When using the touch-up tool, select "smudge" as your tool mode, then adjust the brush size to 15,and opacitity to what ever your comfortable with.I hope this helps?I'm not the best at explaining things in text.If you have any more questions...just ask...later
