OK, I've searched the forum and archives looking for the answer and I can't find it, so I figure I'd better ask.I've reskinned a CLW GP-30 into the Seaboard AirLine, but I'm not sure what the rules are about posting it in the file library. In the readme, it says that is freeware and is intended to make it easier for the loco to be modified and freely redistributed. But at the same time, the CLW website message leaves some doubt in my mind about whether or not I can upload the repaint.Does anyone know a definite answer one way or the other? Can I upload this or not?I don't feel like getting in any trouble this week so any help or clarificatrion would be appreciated!Chris Noble chris@cbnoble.com
I don't speak for CLW but I did a reskin of their model and uploaded it without causing any problems.........As long as you include all of the original files, giving credit to them for the originals I don't think you will have any problems........I'd say go for it........I always try to get permission first, which is the best policy but sometimes you just can't get anyone to answer in which case I always ensure I give the originator credit and include all of their original files........Haven't had any problems to date and I have quite a few in the downloads section.........Hope this helps..........Tim The Spur Line http://tahunter.net/thespurline Appalachia RR
As I recall, 'Columbus Locomotive Works' was run by a fellow named Cameron Lashley. He is an associate at Train Artisan now. I've seen his name now and then on the forums, so he is still in contact. One of his messages listed some e:addresses:Cameron Lashley, columbusrr@trainweb.orgTrainArtisan associate http://www.trainartisan.com/
