May-09-02, 08:07 PM (EDT) "Paging Enocell" Tried to reach you via e-mail on Mon or Tues, but haven't heard back from you. I'm wanting to upload a 2 bay CRR hopper based on your EL work. Following is an attachment of the "work in progress." OK to upload when finished (with a copy of your original readme, of course! )

May-10-02, 11:48 AM (EDT) 1. "RE: Paging Enocell" Damn hotmail didn't send anything...
Anyway, you may repaint the cars as you wish and upload when I get the credit of the model.Does the car work fine? I still have problems with the Airslide hopper repaints as activity editor crahes very often. Sometimes I just need to select it from the list and then get S/DS.Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-10-02, 01:39 PM (EDT) 2. "RE: Paging Enocell" I know the Hotmail pain. . . So far this car works OK, but I'm having some trouble with the 3 bay version. Sometimes it works and sometimes it crashes MSTS while loading up the simulation after I've picked my route, loco, consist, etc and hit "Start." I separated your "EL Hopper" folder into different folders, though, in order to be able to work through the skinning process a little easier. I may have copy/pasted something wrong, but it's weird that it crashes sometimes, but sometimes does just fine. At any rate, the two bay version is ready to go and I'll try to load it up tonight if I get time. Thanks! Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-10-02, 03:40 PM (EDT) 3. "RE: Paging Enocell" That's really weird, I have no problems with others than the airslides(and only occasionally with them).Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-10-02, 10:32 PM (EDT) 5. "RE: Paging Enocell" It was me after all! I worked out the bugs, so look for 2 and 3 bay CRR covered hoppers in the d/l section in the next few days!Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-13-02, 02:46 PM (EDT) 6. "RE: Paging Enocell" I've downloaded both the 2 bay and the 3 bay CRR cars. The 3 bay works fine, the 2 bay crashes the Activity Editor. I can make it work by selecting the 3 bay first, then the 2 bay, but then it'll crash in the sim. I've gotten it as far as looking at the bounding boxes in the sim, but when I try to exit the sim, it crashes with the Send/Don't Send message. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-13-02, 03:38 PM (EDT) 7. "RE: Paging Enocell" Thanks for letting me know. I never had any problems with the 2 bay, but I'll check it out- -probably a bug in the .sd file. If I find a bug, I'll post an updated file.Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-13-02, 05:29 PM (EDT) 8. "RE: Paging Enocell" I checked my files and everything seems to be in order on my end. Maybe something with the original model? I haven't run in to any problems with it, though.Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-14-02, 03:30 PM (EDT) 9. "RE: Paging Enocell" Did you try to copy the original shape file and overwrite the one used by the repaint?
The problem may also be in the .wag file.Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-14-02, 04:39 PM (EDT) 10. "RE: Paging Enocell" FYI, I didn't alter the .s file- -it still aliases Enocell's original ace file name (which contains my new texture). I just changed the name of the .s file, then changed the name in the .sd and both .wag files to match. When I checked them again, they all matched on full and empty versions. I ran two consists last night, one made up of a solid consis of about 45 mty Clinchfield 2 bays and one made up of a solid consist of about 45 full Clinchfield 2 bays. While painting them, I had a full car coupled to an mty car. Never had any trouble. I've been adding it in ConBuilder, though, which may be making the difference. If more people are running into this problem, I hope they post so that we can figure out what's going on. Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

May-15-02, 03:38 PM (EDT) 11. "RE: Paging Enocell" Re: CRR 2Bay Hopper, I have downloaded both the 3-bay and the 2-bay. The 3-bay runs without a hitch, but the 2-bay crashes MS.Re-downloaded the orginal EL Hopper set and I get the same thing, the 2-bay crashes my TS. Any ideas? All others run fine.

May-16-02, 10:52 AM (EDT) 12. "RE: Paging Enocell" Is it crashing on both full and empty versions? If it's crashing on the original EL model, apparently it's not related to my skin.Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-11-02, 07:52 PM (EDT) 13. "RE: Paging Enocell" Enocell uploaded a fix for his 2 bay EL hopper that will also work with my CRR painted version. Download the fix from the file library, then rename the .s file (the only file you'll need from the fix) to crr60104.s and copy it to the folder you created for the 2 bay CRR hopper. Overwrite the existing .s file. Thanks Enocell!Clayton Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-12-02, 04:26 AM (EDT) 14. "RE: Paging Enocell" teemu,I noticed your update file for the EL hopper pack......I was wondering if you might be persuaded to upload an updated version of the entire pack instead of just a fix as I would love to use it as an add-on in my upcoming Conrail activity pack....thing is..its hard enough to convince folks to download a bunch of add-ons as it is without having to have them download not only the add-on, but a fix as well. I am of course being selfish here...hehe.......but your work is so damn good not to use (as far as northeaster prototypes go....!!!)P.S.-Love the Newark & New Jersey....installed without a hitch (including X-tracks 3.1) and no adverse affects on the other routes as well..........kewl, kewl ,,....kewl!!!!Longhairedwizard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-12-02, 11:57 AM (EDT) 15. "RE: Paging Enocell" OK, I'll upload the entire pack. Started uploading while I write this.
All other cars worked perfectly, even the cement car which had "disappearing wheels syndrome" a while ago...(It didn't crash though)Enocell Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-12-02, 12:48 PM (EDT) 16. "RE: Paging Enocell" Hey I appreciate that man.....Thanx much!Ya know whats kewl?......This Conrail activity pack I'm doing will require 25-30 add-ons...but when you figure in visibly loaded and unloaded cars, and the fact that I used as many Rolling stock Packages/assortments as I could....there will atually be a much larger "freight pool" to make consists out of...probably more like 70-80 different freight cars as opposed to 20 or so...Thanx much for all the different rolling stock packs/assortments you've done...look forward to seeing more in the future!!!LHW Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-12-02, 02:37 PM (EDT) 17. "RE: Paging Enocell" LAST EDITED ON Jun-12-02 AT 02:38 PM (EDT)I have also made some "compilations" using the default box car repaints(after I made the new better looking shape file), but those are for my own use as I would have to ask permission from so many repainters. They have ~20 cars in one folder, all with DXT compressed textures which are 6 times smaller than the original(171K vs 1029K).Maybe I can check who all have made the originals and then ask permission(probabaly there's not so many guys after all). Jun-12-02, 03:46 PM (EDT) 18. "RE: Paging Enocell" that would be cool teemu,I would imagine that since we're talkin freeware here, that most designers or authors of the engine or cars in question would probably say "Permission Granted"....even without pressing the TAB key......heheLHW Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
