Apr-28-02, 02:55 AM (EDT) "RI GP35 screenshot" hey all
I was just messing around with some pictures and screenshots. Here's what I came up with in about 10 minutes.
The bridge is a Little Rock and Western RR bridge (ex-ri) just west of LR AR. Has anyone else experimented with photos and screenshots such as this? I would like to see some. I'm sure someone has/can make some awesome shots because I don't have any experience with this sortof stuff, and just slapped that together for kicks. anyways, those Gp35's should be available in the next few weeks. There are 8 diff. paint variations that will be uploaded.
talk to ya later

"RE: RI GP35 screenshot" That looks fricken sweet!!!, I like how you got the reflection going on in the water as well.... must have been a pain in the arss to get a real pic and a MSTS pic to line up for the shot though....but unfortunately for a screen shot competition, this will not be allowed, official screen shot entries can only have computer generated elements, and not real items......actually I think its great, but was just looking at the major fuss/cat fight in the May Model RailRoader Mag. (Railway Post Office Section) where a winning model train photo had an N-scale set up in front, and a computer added sunset to the back ground. and a lot of people went Foul!!, Foul!!next few weeks for upload??, perfection takes time??Matt

Apr-29-02, 00:34 AM (EDT) 2. "RE: RI GP35 screenshot" thanks, it could use a little more work to fine tune it. too bad about the screenshot competition--maybe someone can start a new one with photo enhancement?!? Actually I just got real lucky with the shot. sort of placed the "camera" in a ravine on my route while looking at the actual photo for the correct angle. then slapped it on the photo, tilted it a little and then skewed it until the vertical lines on the loco's were going vertical again. literally only 10 min! I said a few weeks on the geeps so that I will be sure and be done, instead of the last two thursday deadlines that i didn't make! but i guess you could say "perfection takes time". Great job on the RI stuff too. I haven't got them all downloaded yet, but i have tried the caboose out--looks good. any more comin? or is that all for now?
