Apr-11-02, 09:22 AM (EST) "NALW F40 GO & VIA" Just wondering if there are any repaints in progress of NALW excellent F40 in GO Transit or VIA colours? I remember seeing some GO screenshots a while back, but haven't heard anything for a while.CheersDaveGoing to Port Credit:

Second, there will be AT LEAST 2 versions of the VIA Rail F40. The first is the Kool Aid Scheme, then I may do either the Home Hardware version or a Phase I or II Via Rail schemeStill undecided on the second.

Apr-12-02, 10:17 PM (EST) 2. "RE: NALW F40 GO & VIA" Ahhhh, beautiful Tim, knew I could count on you!I love the kool-aid paint scheme, definetly unique! The home hardware would be very cool too. I saw both here in Halifax a few times. What is the difference between the VIA Phase I and Phase II? I thought VIA only ever painted their F40s in the current scheme, I don't think any were painted in the old blue and yellow scheme. Also, I will be taking the VIA Train from Halifax to Toronto in a week and a half, if there was any pictures you wanted me to take of the train, I could try my best.CheersDaveGoing to Port Credit:

Apr-12-02, 11:09 PM (EST) 3. "RE: NALW F40 GO & VIA" Any VIA Pics would be great. If you are anything like me on that trip, You will spend the Halifax to Montreal portion of the trip in the Snack car up on the dome overlooking the 2 F40'sMy girlfreind was amazed at how long I could look out the window and watch the " Lights " light up the track ahead. Needless to say she slept the whole night !!!I was awake for the ENTIRE 21 hour ride from Montreal to Halifax and the return trip as well. I did that trip 5 times within a 2 year span. Except from Montreal I went to Ottawa instead of Toronto.Mind you Ottawa to Toronto is a nice 5 hour ride as well.Your trip from Montreal to Toronto will be ALOT shorter,( I think 5-6 hours ) BUT you may end up with a new P42 on that part of the run.If I don't hear from you before then .....have a good tripTim Kent

Apr-13-02, 11:25 AM (EST) 6. "RE: NALW F40 GO & VIA" Thanks a lot Tim, I had planned on spending a good deal of time on the observation car, never thought to look for one up by the engines though, I'll be sure to do that.I'm not sure what kind of opportunities I'll have for pictures, but I'll take what I can.Might have to try for a few hours sleep on the halifax-montreal leg though....it is one long trip to toronto! And when I get to Toronto I'm taking the GO Train into Long Branch.....after the trip I may not want to look at another train CheersDaveGoing to Port Credit:
