Apr-07-02, 07:08 PM (EST) "Can't edit a file yet" I'm trying to do my first repaint and I've read every tutorial and help section I've been able to find. When I try to send the image to ms paint or Photoshop from TGA2 it doesn't do anything. I've tried double clicking the image as well as sending it from the tool bar. This is happening with every ace file I've tried. I have also painted a tga file & tried to convert it through the makeacewin but it won't accept the file either. If anyone could help me figure this out I would really appreciate it. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I also use TGAtool2.I just save the .ace as a TGA or BMP then open it from wherever I save it.To convert the redone file, I use the Makeace Interface.exe. I downloaded it from the utilities section (I think) in the file library several months ago. It is pretty easy, and I have done a bunch of reskins with this method, no problems.Hope this info can help you.Best of luck. Thanks,
Sam

"RE: Can't edit a file yet" Check the Prefs->Select Editing program menu entry and make sure this is pointing to the exe file of the particular paint program you want to use.For Photoshop this will be photoshp.exe in whatever folder you have it installed. TgaTool2 will open the chosen paint program with the current image loaded. You shouldn`t run the paint program yourself Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
