Mar-24-02, 01:36 PM (EST) "Can't add Carr Message" I'm getting a "can't add car XXX (uid200000)to world" error message while developing a new engine. This engine had run in MSTS many times before but as work continued on this thing something got changed. Any ideas as to what I might have changed to cause the problem?Don Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Can't add Carr Message" HiI would check to make sure that the .s file, .sd and .eng file all have the same name, and that they are all looking for the right file names. Make sure that you have the .ace file in the correct directory, should be in the same directory as the locomotive2. Please post a screen shot 3. If you still get the error, you won't like this, but you have too many ploygons on your model, try to remove as many as you can. Also to help in the diagnosis of the problem, watch and read the errors that MSTS gives you while loading the game:If you get something about not being able to find the .s file, check the name of the .s file and the reference to the .s file in the .sd file, they need to be the same. If the errors says something about being unable to locate name.ace then you need to rename your .ace file to match the name that the error gave you, also make sure the .ace file is in the same directory as the locomotive's .s file.Hope this gets you goingTake care,Message Areas - "Can't add Carr Message" – image 1 Message Areas - "Can't add Carr Message" – image 2
