Mar-04-02, 08:37 PM (EST) 3. "RE: PRR B39-8" This is how I fixed the GP9 to make it work, 1. First line Wagon ( GP9 TO Wagon ( GP9PRR
2. after the engine sound line Engine ( GP9 ) TO Engine ( GP9PRR )
3. Another Wagon after the exhaust definition
Wagon ( GP9 ) TO Wagon ( GP9PRR )
4. The name line right before the description
Name ( GP9 ) TO Name ( GP9PRR )Just substitute PRRB39-8 for GP9PRRKevin Arceneaux

Mar-05-02, 07:48 PM (EST) 4. "RE: PRR B39-8" I've had the same problems with my TA-SD70/75's and some of the CSX repaints of the SD70M's. One type of scheme would dominate the consist editor window. So I just go by what the name of the Locomotive is as shown in the upper right corner of the editor.
The correct locomotive does show up in the game however. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-06-02, 08:25 PM (EST) 7. "RE: PRR B39-8" I haven't dled it, by the time the B39's came out the PRR was history. You need to check the sd file also. Some skinners have a bad habit of just changing the ace files and making one change in the eng file, this causes all sorts of problems.Kevin Arceneaux Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Mar-07-02, 09:50 AM (EST) 8. "RE: PRR B39-8" You got me curious and I lded it last night just to see. Waht the skinner did is WRONG WRONG WRONG. You do not just put the new skins in and chame the directory/folder name and the name in the eng file. You need to at least rename the s, sd anf eng file. Use the same name as the directory/folder. i.e. PRRB39. Then go into the eng and sd files and change the names of the s file. When MSTS loads it loads a database and if you have 2 pieces of rolling stack with the same eng, s and sd names, it will confuse MSTS, AE, and conbuilder. The skinners need to take a few extra minutes and rename the files.Kevin Arceneaux Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
