Mar-01-02, 10:04 PM (EST) "More on Sac Northern" Now I know this road number is supposed to be an S-2 and the Sacramento Northern did not have any SW1200's, but This engine was already painted in WP orange by Tom Gibson. How ever I have had some problems with the lettering. If you look at the road name you will notice that there is still some of the "Microscale Decal" blue in places. I have tried for the last several hours to remove it, but to no avail. I have looked in the archives, but have not found anything relating to this, so I must not be using the correct word search because I know that even the kitchen sink is in the archives. If there is a suggestion or two please let me know.

Oh, one more thing is there any way to get more exhaust out of the stacks. I can remember SN and WP units smoking everything up on their way by.Erik Pierson

Mar-03-02, 00:52 AM (EST) 4. "How about the CCTC?" I've done a little more fiddling today. Still need some work. When this is done it will be GP-7 #70. I have a pic or two of it in my personal collection, unfortunately those are in storage so I have been relying on pics of the net. In this shot you can see that I need to add the #s, finish detailing, tweak the logo, and place the lettering on the carbodies. As always please let me know what else I have missed.Message Areas - "More on Sac Northern" – image 5
I was trying to get a more faded paint to match all the pics I have, but for now I will settle for this until I can tweak the paint to what I like.Erik Pierson

Mar-03-02, 03:19 PM (EST) 5. "RE: How about the CCTC?" LAST EDITED ON Mar-03-02 AT 03:22 PM (EST) Another few pics.I know I am just trying to learn to do this repainting stuff, so any input would be appreciated. Once again I seem to be having lettering problems. I spend most of my time changing the letters this way and that way and they always look the same or nearly the same. I am thinking if I can master the weathering a bit more I would be able to hide the lettering problems. I don't know, but I am not giving up because these are just little problems.
