Feb-27-02, 00:58 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Amtrak Question" I believe it's just simply the "Northeast Direct" scheme. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-27-02, 07:42 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Amtrak Question" Actually, it is generally accepted as the Phase IV scheme, as it is now used systemwide. The Northeast Direct scheme looks almost identical, but there is a "Northeast Direct" lettering on it. That is the top picture anyway. The bottom picture is a specific paint scheme for one of Amtrak's services.------ BUZZ ------

"RE: Amtrak Question" LAST EDITED ON Feb-27-02 AT 01:24 PM (EST)Okay, thanks for the info..Reason I asked was because i couldn't find any F40PH's anywhere..Was going to modify it from an F45 or FP45 until i saw that you were releasing one..BTW, is there any modified .ace or .s/.sd files for a 'cabbage' style locomotive as seen above? and could i use your loco to make the skin?

Feb-27-02, 03:28 PM (EST) 5. "Oops!" For some reason, the search that failed to find any 'F40PH' in the file library last night, just succeeded today..

Mar-01-02, 04:22 AM (EST) 9. "RE: Oops!" The "Cabbages" are F40s that have had all the working guts removed from them and demoted into baggage cars - the ultimate humilition for any equipment! At least they are Cab Control baggage cars, but still... ------ BUZZ ------

Mar-01-02, 03:59 PM (EST) 10. "RE: Amtrak Question - Heritage Fleet" Is anyone working on making Amtrak Heritage (Budd and/or Smoothside) coaches for MSTS, interiors included?I can imagine many people are getting bored with the Superliners and Amfleet coaches. Mar-01-02, 04:27 PM (EST) 11. "RE: Amtrak Question - Heritage Fleet" There have been talks of reskinning the ESE cars, there are some people who said they were going to make them. I plan on doing at least the 8500 series Diner, and probably the Sleeper, as those and a variety of baggage cars are about the only Heritage there is left! Superliners and Amfleets cames with the game (they will be re-built though), and Horizon and Viewliner cars are already underway. Outside those, there ain't much else Amtrak uses anymore, so i hope too many people aren't getting bored!------ BUZZ ------
