Feb-11-02, 09:11 AM (EST) 1. "RE: 'Skinning'" ms paint - free and preinstalled on all windows OS's but extremely inferior and limited in functions.jasc paint shop pro - 60-100 bucks, very easy to use and powerfuladobe photoshop - 450-600 bucks, harder to use and much more powerful than paint shop proi own and use both photoshop and paint shop pro. both are very good programs. if all you want to do is simple repaints then paint shop pro is good choice. but i personally prefer photoshop. and if your short on cash, you can always use mspaint, but it is extremely limited in what it can do. these programs can also be found a bit cheaper than the price range i gave depending where you go. they are just average prices from the hundreds of place ive seen them at.-Christopher-

Feb-11-02, 01:46 PM (EST) 2. "RE: 'Skinning'" Hey thestoat my man,
First I want to Welcome you to the Forum. This is a great place to learn about MSTS and I hope you enjoy ever minute of your time here. There are a lot of good people willing to help you out anyway they can. I use Paint Shop Pro (www.jasc.com) you can use Microsoft Paint, for repaints. 3D canvas for designing (http://www.amabilis.com/) or Train Sinulator Modeler (TSM) from (www.abacuspub.com) plus there are others you can use. But I would suggest that you click on Search at the top of the page and type in repainting or designing trains, or go to the MSTS Engine and livery skinning Forum and read, read, read and then read some more, all your questions are answered in the forums and they have links to different web sites if you cannot find your answer then someone will help..SEE-YA, CHUG-ON.
KMJ. Have a Trainnific Day.
