I also did one for MN (blue) and MBTA. I gave 'em Amfleet brakes, so they stop really well. Unfortunately, I can't release them publicly (due to copyright)...oh well. I still see no problems there...1. contact any of the authors who uploaded the repainted sets to train-sim.com, ask them how they got permition and all that legal sh*t.2. (even better), ask NALW how they did it. Write Cyrus Lum at TA and ask! Include a pix of what you have done! They are very accomidating. Especially if you make sure to specify that this is Freeware only! Be sure to include attribution for the Model/Shape to TA!
In our case TA collaborated with us on the Merchant's Limited so Verne Horton of TA actually did the repaint for us....

Most of it was mirrored on the original, not leaving for the ability to apply graphics properly for MBTA, MN or CDOT (tried all 3). It's impossible to make the steps on the carbody work correctly with the NH scheme since the texture is shared with several areas. I got around it by removing the alpha channel area and used it flat. Other than that, it was pretty much a breeze.There is the mattter of the seam too...but I won't nitpick. I'm just happy to have it to skin. Joe unfortunately it looks like the first piece of the package which contains the cabview and sounds and only 2 textures will be about 15mb... I can't seem to get it any smaller.... Everything is already compressed and the total package size with all options approaches 30mb....

I tried copying the file adress and it opens up a file and now I can't do that now. I don't know how to fix it. I can't wait to get my hands on that nh genesis. A few days ago I saw a nh gen. at Stamford and there is a feture on how to make one in a model railroad magazine in HO.

The package is called GEN_PAK3.ZIP
and it contains 12 different P32acDM models....
Two Road numbers each of Amtrak (700 series) Metro North and ConnDOT/New Haven "Heritage Scheme"... plus there is an "E-Mode/3rd Rail option" for each....

I found out a way to download stuff now and have the genesis pack and i love it. After living on the NH line for 8 years I have loved the NHRR. scince I saw the first NH p32 it has benn my second favorite train apart from the NH M-2. I cant wait to see all the Genesis loco's. I have only seen the via,mta mnrr,cdot mnrr and the 3 phases of Amtrak. while i wait can you post some screen shots. Now we need a New York Central Genesis in the mnrr Fl-9 paint job.

For now you have to do that on the NEC (I know, its overhead not 3rd rail )....
Maybe someday their Lordships of the Civil Engineering Dept. will sober up (From ODing on Root Beer) and give us the Hudson Route or the NEC extention out of GCT to Port Chester....------Chuck Schneider---------

I also tried doing this to the avalible Bombardier coach. The model is not very good for this coach and every thing is upside down and bacwors on one side and it can not be corrected. Also I wan't the real thing and not a make shift repaint. I also can't do very good repaints on a lot of stuff. I have to use MS paint for it! I loose the alpha channel and the quality. I have my own private railroad and route that is for me and my freinds and paint works and i use a meatod to keep the alpha. The NJ transit repaint from the TA via cars look good for now. If somone will repaint them i can get some pics and info. I will look forward to see some comet cars. -Nhtrain

The ESE car is much better but it is not close enough. The Via car in NJT is better and can do for now but not forever.
