Feb-07-02, 01:03 AM (EST) "NJ TRANSIT U34CHs - Any Interest?" Any interest in New Jersey Transit U34CHs, made out of the C30-7? I am working on this locomotive, and will finish it if interest warrants. I still have to re-work the lighting to include the backup light, and also have to redo the .eng file a bit to indicate the increased horsepower and increased smoke!I have the following units painted so far :As-Delivered Erie Lackawanna / NJ Department of Tranportation 3356

1977-era NJ Department of Transportation 4171

1983-era NJ TRANSIT 4176

1990-era NJ TRANSIT 4169
I am also planning the following locomotives :
1976-era Conrail 1776
1990-era NJ TRANSIT 4151 (Same locomotive as 1776, painted into unique NJDOT-type scheme)
1993-era SEPTA 4154 (Leased from NJ TRANSIT)
1996-era GEC-Alstom 4166 (Mexico)

Our Dash 7 cab would work well in them, Bob Boudoin has new physics either for them or the U36/33 which is close enough you can modify them to be correct and Please, please use the dash9 sounds not the the verdamnt gp38 sounds....------Chuck Schneider---------

>Kevin Kevin,You are correct - I just haven't gotten to it on the Bluebirds yet. I would of made a lot of sense to paint out the grills first, and then do the painting, but for some reason I decided to make it difficult for me. If I was to release these units, they would all have the correct grills.Mike

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-02 AT 04:12 AM (EST)Okay, here is a very early shot of Conrail U34CH 1776.I have started to remove the grills that are not supposed to be there, and have once again made the cab windows transparent.The numberboards are from photos of the unit, but I do not have a good enough shot to do the entire unit based off of a photo. I have already recreated the flag, and will be moving forward on this unit today and tomorrow.I will keep posting updates!Michael Steinberg
