Feb-04-02, 03:21 PM (EST) 1. "RE: "Northeaster"" "Downeaster".Varying numbers of passenger cars 2 to 6 depending on time of day. At least 1 dome car.1 engine at front and 1 at rear. Engineers switch cabs at end of run for next trip back.Very Dark Gray Amtrak paint scheme.Engines are noticibly taller and wider than cars, and very 'boxy'. F-40 series perhaps?Thanks,

here's some tragic news:An Amtrak spokeswoman says a northbound train struck and killed a 22-year-old woman on Sunday. The victim's name has not been made public. The train's operator says the woman stepped in front of the train. The accident delayed the rail service for more than two hours. This was from the NBC website (Bangor, Maine station).
