Jan-26-02, 07:40 PM (EST) "Somethings goofy..." I've made several attempts to skin different projects and have some of the same problems. I use TSM and the textures look Ok in the TSM application, but when the projects get converted to the MSTS format, something gets changed in the process. For example, before conversion to MSTS.Message Areas - "Somethings goofy..." – image 1After the conversion.Message Areas - "Somethings goofy..." – image 2
I would appreciate any help in determining what is the cause and solution to this problem. Thanks in advance.Boomer

Jan-27-02, 02:55 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Somethings goofy..." LAST EDITED ON Jan-27-02 AT 02:56 AM (EST)Ok, I'm the goofy one. I found out the in MSTS options/advance display/ the train texture slider position made all the difference. Message Areas - "Somethings goofy..." – image 3 This car will be available in a couple of days. I've included the *.bmp texture files with the hope that someone will put a decent skin on the model. The color of red I used looks like I painted the car with lipstick. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-27-02, 04:11 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Somethings goofy..." I'm not an expert but, this car is called a Well Hole flat car. It's my understanding that only a couple of railroads had (have) these cars. They were used to transport large pieces that could not be reduced in size. I know you can't see the lower deck in the picture, but generally the load was placed in the hole and the decks on either end were not loaded.More information on these cars can be found in the 'Mainline Modeler' magazine, December 2001 - February 2002.I hope I helped you with your question.Bruce Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
