Jan-26-02, 11:54 AM (EST) "How to zip TGA with alpha channel???" Hello All,
I've got the DXTbmp program, and it works o.k. for opaque ace files but bombs when I try to zip a 512x512 tga with a transparent alpha channel. I want to upload some stuff to the library but would prefer to zip the aces down from 1.5 meg to 171k. Any suggestions? Thanks a ton.
Hobart

Apart from the DXTBmp crashes (caused by a bug in the nVidia code used for compression) the DXT-Format Ace files probably won`t work in TrainSim.
The format isn`t completely worked out yet and you are likely to get TS crashing with some DXT textures. Also DXT only allows a 1 bit Alpha so isn`t a real replacement for images with a full Alpha channel Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
