Jan-21-02, 07:12 PM (EST) "Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" A Northeastern style caboose is now available in the files area. This hopefully will be of use to fans of Conrail and its predecessors.LarryMessage Areas - "Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" – image 1 Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-22-02, 01:28 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" Wow that looks awesome!! I need to learn how to do things like that! I have a couple of guestions: What is inside of a caboose (up top where the guy sits) I know that there is usually a kitchen and bunks down below, are there any levers and buttons and other nifty things for the guys to play around with up there, or do they just sit up there. And is there a passenger (5 key) view?Keep up the good work!kwk100 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-22-02, 09:12 AM (EST) 8. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" The CGW used similar cabooses, close enough for me to repaint one. Thanks it looks great bringing up the rear or a train. I treid to use the passenger view with no luck. Any Ideas on why?

Jan-22-02, 09:23 AM (EST) 9. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" The caboose does not really have an interior, Just translucent cupola windows and an interior cupola shell. I added code to the .wag file for a rear platform "passenger view" but so far have been unable to get any response from the "5" key. Maybe someone hear can help me out.Larry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-22-02, 09:31 AM (EST) 11. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" Check out the EL Bay window caboose for the code for rear platform view. I don't know if that model is in the Train-Sim Files or if I downloaded it from Aluminum Cloud... but the wag file includes a rear platform view which is great.

Jan-22-02, 11:30 AM (EST) 12. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" Thank you. The textures are derived from bits and pieces of several black and white and color photographs but primarily based on this photo I took in Bangor,Maine:Message Areas - "Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" – image 6The roof is based on a scan of an undecorated HO scale model.Larry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-22-02, 10:05 PM (EST) 14. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" I managed to add a platform view. Here is a couple of pics. Also it can be used on either end depending on which way you have the caboose turned. I have the default set as the rear of the train.BrianMessage Areas - "Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" – image 8 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-22-02, 10:13 PM (EST) 15. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" Here is the code I added to make it work. You will have to change the name of the reference to your .s file.BrianMessage Areas - "Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" – image 9 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-22-02, 11:53 PM (EST) 16. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" I was just going through the .wag file again trying to tweak the view a little. I stumbled across your original code. It probably didn't work because that first bracket is missing. Also maybe the placement of the code in the file makes a difference too.Brian Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-23-02, 10:29 AM (EST) 17. "RE: Northeastern Caboose Ready for Repaints" Thanks for the help. I was beating my head against the wall and beginning to think that maybe some change to the .s file was required as well. Nice repaints by the way.Larry Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
