Jan-20-02, 10:14 PM (EST) "Chessie GP40-2 sought" Well all....I'm here with a request for help. I'd like to have a Chessie System GP40-2 in my fleet of cats, in particular the B&O 4326. I was wondering if anyone with the experience could be helpful and take on the project. I'd like to take the Chessie GM50 here at the library and do it up in the yellow, vermillion, and blue to match the Chessie SD50, or Dekosofts 35's, but just haven't learned how to do skins. Thanks to anyone in advance. Also....Besides what's here at the library, and the Dekosoft GP35 pack, does anyone know of any other Chessie era units out there? If anyone has any to share that'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks to those of you who share your hard work and contribute such diverse add ons...... Jason. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-21-02, 09:03 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Chessie GP40-2 sought" I tried to make that work a few weeks ago and the textures do not line up well enough for it to look good. For example the side panels on the short hood also line up with the roof over the cab. On the chessie, those need to be separate. Although there is a glimmer of hope with the GP38, which is available from the downloads section. It would work with the B&O dark blue paint.Brian Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I would really like to get my hands on one to make this C&O project!! You could probably make it from your GP38 file.

As you can see, it is similar to the GP38, only no plow, engineer bay window and no filterbox between the dynamic brake blister and the cab (which makes it a little shorter), everything else is similar. I would really appreciate it!
Lemme know!
Thanks,

Actually I have 2 paints that I would like to complete. The classic Chessie, and a Indiana and Ohio paint scheme. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
