Jan-19-02, 01:55 AM (EST) "Rio Grande Fans: This one goes way, way back!" Hello
After a brief break from MSTS projects, The Bear is back! Here's my latest for all you Rio Grande fans and history buffs. This is Denver & Rio Grande engine #16, named "Pike" after Colorado explorer Zebulon Pike. "Pike" was the first 4-4-0 purchased by the Denver & Rio Grande. I'm not sure if this engine ran on coal or wood, so I painted up both a wood and coal tender for it, and you can use whichever one you like. Also, I figured you'd probably want something to match it on the other end of your train, so I painted up a drover caboose to match. Grizzly

Jan-19-02, 07:53 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Rio Grande Fans: This one goes way, way back!" You weren't kidding. This predates anything I have repainted by a long shot. I wonder how they put out fires with the extinguisher up on the cupola ( at least I think that's what it is). Maybe you should repaint some heavyweights to go with your engine? hmmmm There are lots of different models in the file library. I am suggesting something... hmmm. You do such a great job at early reapints.Keep up the good work
Nick
