The cab view files were originally made from 1024X1024 TGA files using the size option to produce the odd rectangular images needed to fit the monitor screen. You need to have the latest version of MAKEACE to do this. The cab view .ACE files were made from TGA files not BMP files. There must be an Alfa channel to see out of the windows.
The easy way to edit the cab view .ace files is to use TGATOOL2 (the latest version) to send the image to your editor "edit it, save it" and then reload the image to TGATOOL2 and then resave it directly back to an ACE file.Note that for the FRNT view there are actually two files, SW1500frnt.ace and SW1500frnt1024.ace the first file is 640X480 and the second file is 1024X768. Most of the time the sim will use the larger file.To capture a screen shot of the hood of your loco look at the file SW1500.CVF in the cabview folder. SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0h0t______Tr_CabViewFile (

Dec-31-01, 08:31 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Cabview Ace Files" Oops my notes on the CVF file sample do not show well, the big spaces were removed. The two lines you want have “this line” and “and this line” added to them.Try as I might I was never able to make tinted windows for the cab view. I thought I could make the “look” of exhaust with it. Any ideas?Mark Toland Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
