The coal car is a nice tribute to the old D&RGW.

Dec-02-01, 02:30 PM (EST) 6. "RE: D&RGW repaints on their way (stay tuned)" I wish someone would make that type of coal car. There are LOTS of cars like the CSDU (formally CSDPU) running around Denver and points west. I have lots of pics, all I need is the car. I would love to make CSDU cars!!Nick

Dec-20-01, 06:48 PM (EST) 12. "RE: D&RGW repaints on their way (stay tuned)" The last time I was in colorado, I remember standing on the platform in Grande Junction. Is that where the Joint line breaks off? Because I saw at least 15 coal trains come and go off the branch. One thing that interested me was the DRGW GP30 with 10 or so coal cars, with a DRGW rear Cupola at the end. Can someone make one of those cabooses for me? It would be the perfect addition to any DRGW train. Thanx Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-21-01, 01:11 AM (EST) 13. "RE: D&RGW repaints on their way (stay tuned)" I am actually from Grand Junction. The "joint line" refers to the Rio Grande, Sante Fe, and Burlington Nothern line from Denver to Pueblo (now its BNSF and UP). The line with all the coal traffic coming from it is the North Fork Branch. They run about 10 trains a day on it. The run from Grand Junction to Paonia is 92 miles but it takes a train 6hrs to do it. Most 100+ car coal trains run with two AC4400's and are real easy to take pictures of.As far as cabooses go, I have toyed around with this model

Dec-23-01, 01:07 AM (EST) 16. "RE: D&RGW repaints on their way (stay tuned)" BAH!! there is always something I forget to do. I will have to move my "grande" around. I can tell you another thing I didn't do. On the front tiger stipes there should be a small rio grande. I might go back and fix it but I have other projects to complete first. To upload your picture....
1st General Guidelines
The picture can't be over 100K. So If you take a screen shot, size it down in photo editing software. (also convert it to a .jpg)2nd click on the "click here to upload your file" (located at the top of the reply screen). A little explorer box will pop up. Click the button on the type of file you want to upload (i like .jpg for pictures). Just make sure the file type you select is the same as the file you want to upload. Then browse to where ever your photo is and select it.3rd Click on the upload file button. It will sit there for a while depending on your interent connection. Then you will get a file name. Should say something like this...
"File was successfully uploaded to remote server. The URL of this file is http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/User_files/3c2571845g49ca42.jpg";
Just copy and paste the http://www... ...jpg part into your message that you are typing. When you get done typing your messege, hit the preview button and see if it works. If it doesn't feel free to email me.Nick
