I have been working on and activity that is open ended. I was making it to take advantage of all my cars that I have downloaded. There is no AI traffic, and it is on the Full Bucket line. The problem is all the red lights. I cant move around them I have tried different combos with the player paths but no good is there any help that can be offered
RE: Making an activity work like explore, but consist already placced
LAST EDITED ON Jun-13-02 AT 04:41 PM (EDT)LAST EDITED ON Jun-13-02 AT 04:32 PM (EDT)Is your activity about driving a train from A to B? If so, there should normally be no problems (normally: I could never say never here!), especially as you use no AI trains!By the way: what do you mean with "open ended"? For to create an activity using the AE, you must have one starting point and one end point! If you want to "explore" (I think most switches are manual in the FB route - which is a "must"!), you can make a very short route (into a siding!)- and then go exploring! Some routes with signals may give you red lights when "exploring". But usually you can call the dispatcher and he says: "Permission granted!"If you have, let´s say, used some reverse points for your path, you might well end up with red signals (this has been posted several times, and I have made that kind of mistakes myself): check the distance between the switch and the reverse point! That distance must be a bit longer than your consist (with the loco/s included)! Some mistake here and you will get a red signal futher ahead!A third factor could be: if you have created a path, but you turn some switch/es and leave that path (for to do something else) and then come back and continue along the same path might for certain routes give you red signals! Those were the thoughts I could come up with. There is a huge amount of know-how in these forums, so maybe others will come up with even more possible solutions! Good luck!Haraldh F
