Just ran the unit coal train , only got caught speeding once this activity had a very polished feel to it.
it is evident that much time and effort has gone into the creation , and the documentation , which was fantastic.The way you listed the needed addons , and even their folder names was top of the line.

I am I may hafta bug ya fer some help soon , as I am beginning to dig into the activity editor. My wife says I'm just crazy fer tryin...lol.thanks for the time and work , excellent activities on an excellent route.

Thanx guys, appreciate the thumbs up...Please feel free to make any suggestions to what kind of activities or activity packs you would like to see in the future.The idea behind an "activity pack" is to put several activities together with a "freight/engine" carpool of required add-ons...I hope that it motivates people to go through the downloading and installing of several add-ons for a series of activities rather than just one. (I have seen single activities require as many as 30 downloads!!!! yikes!!!)Hopefully this idea of doing activity packs using prototypical freight pools will catch on (with other activity designers) so we'll all be able to enjoy activities based on our favorite roadnames and/or era's.Although many feel that it would be better to write activities using default rolling stock and to let the enduser edit the consist to his/her favorites,....this is not always practical...sometimes, even small alterations in the consists can completely throw off the timing of a carefully planned activity...even to the point of stalemate (I have experienced this with my own activities!!!). Also...I like to read but would hate to have to "write" my own book everytime I felt like enjoying one......simularly, I would enjoy a proto activity without having to go in the consist editor everytime to edit consists and then "Know" what to expect when I go and play the activity.......My next pack is a 1980's era Conrail pack (for the OHRR route) which should have a minimum of 6 activities (and maybe some bonus activities for the NEC 2.0) but this one is a little more ambitious and will require 25-30 add-ons but will have longer and better activities (I hope...lol)The CR pack should be ready in the beginning of july (or sooner) and I will post the needed add-on list very soon so those of you with dial-ups will be able to have everything you need already to go when the activity pack is released.Any questions, comments...please post or E-mail me at:bbzak@msn.comBill Bzak aka Longhairedwizard

Glad to hear it!!!!will use a CR restencil or two for the CR activitiy pack and after the CR pack is done, I will to do a early 1970's era PC pack for some of the new CR-predecessor routes currently in development.LHW

Bill; I just got through installing your activity pack, and made sure that I had all needed locos & wagons. Install went without a hitch after I updated TSunpack.
However, upon loading train simulator, I get the following:Error Reading Train Database FileFile: Trains\Trainset\CwexBethgon\cwex_hop-fl.wagMSTS will not let me go any further at this point. I tryed checking thing out with conbuilder, but became more confused than I was to begin with. Any ideas as to what I may have done wrong, if anything.
Really looking forward to trying these out on the "Bucket" !!

OK, I looked in my trainset folder and according to the error message you posted, the activity is looking for the correct folder and the correct .wag file......my only conclusion is that you do not have that add-on installed properlydo this....go into your trainset folder and look for this folder:CwexBethgon
if you do not have this folder (with the precise name than that is the problem.... try renaming it to : CwexBethgonMy guess if if you did download this file that you have it named incorrectly.... that or the .wag file is named unproperly.....but that is unlikely.let me how things go as I will be happy to help you get things working!!!Bill BzakLHW

Oh, and if worst comes to worst and we can't fix it..(which I very much doubt) ...than I will be happy to help you delete any files causing errors so you will be able to enjoy TS as you did before....thanx for downloading my activity, we WILL get to the bottom of this......LHW

I am at work right now, but when I get home this evening; I will look into this further. I believe the CWEX file is named correctly, but I'll double check to be sure!

I was just messing with these activities last night. There's a slight difference in the way the wag files are named. For example: in the zip file I think you have "CWEXBETHGON_LOADED" while the activity calls for "CWEXBETH_HOP_FL". I'm sure these aren't the exact names, but they should be close.Since .wag files are fairly small, I just made copies for the full and empty versions and just renamed them to fit the activity.Henry

Those are subfiles of the main folder i think..\\I believe the discrepancy your referring to might be the "display" name versus the "file" name. The AE seems to want one of each for everything.for example, in the main CWEX foler there will of course be an loaded and unloaded version of the wag files....but in the wag files themselves..there may be a "display" name listing that differs from the wag file name.LHW
