Jun-04-02, 08:35 PM (EDT) "Reverse Points" Hi! I've had MSTS for about a month now and I'm trying to create my first activity. I downloaded Mr. Garber's Activity Tutorial and I think I learned more in one night then I had in two weeks of frustration with MSTS help. I'm trying to reverse into the Columbia Falls Flat Track 3208 to pick up a consist of 6 tank cars. My locos are two Dash9's. I've placed reverse points before the switch (yes I left room between the switch point and front of loco) and after the switch in the siding. When I pull past the switch almost to the main and reverse the switch is thrown. However when the locos back in they stop in the siding and it looks like there having a tug-of-war. Its like the rear loco wants to continue in reverse and the front one wants to go forward.I've tried to place the reverse point behind the consist, in front, in the middle but nothing helps. I have another reverse point to back into the Old House siding and this works fine. I also notice that in the track monitor I get to the Flat Track reverse point WAY before I should. Also the Flat Track is an automatic switch where the Old House is manual. Does this have anything to do with it?Am I doing something wrong? I'm new with MSTS so have patience with me. If this is unclear I can send some screen prints. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Doesn't matter what loco or cars you use on that siding, you'll always get the 'bouncing' cars effect. Kind of like a little hump there going over the crossing. I think (and I could be wrong) it is a bounding box problem Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
