Jun-01-02, 11:10 AM (EDT) "All of a sudden - Derailments!" Does anybody know what causes derailments? Specifically, I have an activity that was working fine, but now it's derailing *constantly*, even at low speeds. I haven't done anything other than add some static consists, but now, even when I remove all other traffic (AI and static), I still have this problem. As a related thread, why do static consists cause such a large frame rate drop?DerekSystem specs:p4 northwood - 1.8Ghz

LAST EDITED ON Jun-01-02 AT 11:54 AM (EDT)As far as the derwilments, are you using a car that you haven't used before, that might be the cause.AS for static consists, MSTS still calculates the physics for that consist, hencethe slowdown.Kevin Arceneaux Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

The red lines should hug the cars/engines, if any are sticking out they can snag bounding boxes of other objects. Keep in mind that the area inside the bounding box is what MSTS considers the area that the object occupies even if its larger then the visable object.Sharon Evans
