Hi all, Hope you can help with the folowing ? When creating a new path I encounter no problems, however when I place a reverse point the path backtracks down the siding and atomaticlly places the activity end point. This prevents me from continuing down the path and selecting further reverse points as the activity end point won,t delete. Hope you understand what i,m on about.Thaks Andy
Hi Andy!If you add a reverse point and you want to use a siding, you often have to right-click and select "use other exit" to reverse into that siding.Of course, the Activity places it´s end point on that siding! Good! That shows that your route creating is OK so far! Now, in that siding you have to place a second reverse point for TS to understand that you will rather move on that to stop here! This is how it always has to be! 1: reversing into the siding. 2: back to forward again (by that second reverse point)!Good luck!Haraldh F.
By the way:I have said this in some message before: Be aware of the distance between the switch and your first reverse point! For the second reverese point (the one on the siding) it is mostly enough to put it in the middle or a bit futher away from the switch. (This depends on how far into the siding that you want the consist to enter before going forwards again!)That first distance (for each direction change you want to do)has to be a bit longer that your consist (includung the loco/s!). Zoom in on your consist for knowing the length of it! Do the same with the distance between the switch and your planned reverse point (i.e. #1 of the two!)Haraldh F.
'Morning tsharaldh:Am I to understand that you can use multiple reverse points in a single activity, so as to create switching moves without having to throw every switch by hand? Many Thanks; Steven D. Myers
The answer is YES! You can use these couple of reverse points as many as you like!!Unfortunately you cannot use more than 1 (backwards) and 1 (forwards) for each switch! I have tried to use several reverse points together with different switches very close to each other and connected to one main track. But TS didn´t like that! So such an arrangement is not possible. But plain arrangements are totally OK! Haraldh F.
To Steven and Andy!I am glad that I was able to help both of you this time! It´s great to have such a forum where we can be of some help to each other! On other occasions I have been helped and so it goes on!I have learned a lot from other Activity creators how they have solved certain problems by looking at their Activities in the editor. That´s a way too!Haraldh
