Hi everyone,I had my first go at creating an activity last night. It has worked out great apart from the overall speed. My activity goes from Carlisle to Settle. The speed limit is 30mph all the way, apart from the restsricted speed zones. How can I set this higher? Also, My AI Traffic does not appear. I think I have done everything right, set path, time, consists, start, end.Hope you can help,Phil,

RE: Overall speed

Readinhg another post, do I have to change the signs in RE? I don't think I will have to as the speed limit on other activities in on the route is above 100mph.Phil

RE: Overall speed

I have successfully tested the "appearance timing" as follows.1. Use the Verify Start State and watch the movement of the trains on the 2-d map. Watch the timer at the bottom and record when the AI train{s} and the service train pass or meet. Adjust the start time for the AI trains if necessary. 2. Run the route. Press F10 and keep an eye on the timer. I have found that I actually run the service train faster than the Verify Start State does. Check the F10 timer against the times from the VSS run. If you do not see the AI train, you are probably early.3. In most cases, you may need to advance the starting time for the AI trains. I found that when I had a meet, there was no train visible. I immediately hit F3 and went to the rear. As the rear approached the meet point, BANG, my AI train appeared as if by magic on the track next to me. 4. Depending on where and how long the AI traffic is supposed to appear, your service train may be slow and actually miss it. An example would be a switcher moving cars in a yard or on a siding. In this case you will need to delay the time for the AI train. It really gets down to trail and error and adjusting times and speeds.Rich Garber has an excellent tutorial on the download area acttutv1.zip in the msc section. It is an exceptional piece of work from which I have learned much.Carlyle Thompson
