I will shortly start working on a small activity for the Tehachapi Pass route in which you'll do some switching between the Southern Pacific Yard, Oil Junction and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe yard. I want to make this fairly prototypical (so it'll probably require a lot of non-default stock) - however, there is one problem:As far as I have understood, most of the switching in Bakersfield is handled by a shortline called San Joaquin Valley Railroad, using old ex-Southern Pacific chopped-nose GP9s. However, the only chopped-nose GP9 availabile in the Download library is a Canadian National one. Now - I have absolutely no skills when it comes to reskinning, and neither do I have the time (I'll have to start writing my thesis next week). So - here's what I am thinking of:Either 1) Some kind soul volunteers to reskin a low-nose GP9 in SJVR livery for use in this activity
Or 2) the activity will use the default GP38-2, pretending that this loco has been borrowed from BNSF 'cause the GP9s are either broken down or sent away for inspection
Or 3) the activity will use Dekosoft's GP15-1 free edition, pretending that this loco has just been bought second-hand from Conrail and not yet repainted. What do you guys that will (hopefully...) be playing/beta testing this activity say?

RE: Upcoming Bakersfield Switching activity for the Tehachapi Pass route - small poll

That would be an interesting activity to run. I used to go to sun city skydiving and pass through mohavi where i would see those big trains rumble on through.maybe use southern pacific engines would be good. don't know how many people have that route though. SkyRat
