Apr-21-02, 08:23 AM (EST) "consists file" I would like to know if there is a way to go into the consists file folder and find out what activities a consist belongs to. I have to many consists but do not want to take a chance and delete any needed consists. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Apr-21-02, 10:35 AM (EST) 1. "RE: consists file" Not in the Consists folder. Consist names (the name of the .con file) appear in Services, so this is where to check them out. To look through all of the services at once, you will need to use the search utility that comes with your operating system -- or something better. (If you are a programmer, you can write a simple utility to do this search quite efficiently.)So, if you have a consist named "xyz.con" (filename), this will be referred to in the script of the Service file (.srv) as:-
Train_Config ( "xyz" )Any consist mentioned in a service file is required to be in the Consists folder, otherwise the sim will complain when loading.I suggest that instead of deleting the consist file, that you move it to a "junk" folder (on a floppy disk perhaps), then if you encounter a problem, you can move it back.
