I have been designing some passenger activities for some of my routes and have a simple (I hope) question. Is there an easy way to calculate distance between stations and how long the train should take to reach the next point? I tried the calculate button on the timetable and the times it returned were nowhere close to allowing the train to achieve the schedule without running at 150mph!!! I know I can manually change the arrival and departure times but even then I don't have a clue as to how long it should take between points without the mileage!~! Rob
Are you using one of the default routes in the Sim or something entirely new that you have built in the Route Editor? When you are operating a route that came with the Sim or Marias Pass version 3 (my favorite) check out the Next Station Display Box (F-10 Key). It will tell you the current time plus display how many miles it is to the next station and what time you should arrive there. How long it takes, of course, depends on how you operate your locomotive and other variables such as A-1 traffic etc. It works well for me.
