Jan-23-02, 03:21 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Coupling Problems" Sounds like it could be a problem with the bounding box in your car's .sd file. Try reducing the value for the length of the car. Hope this helps. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-24-02, 00:09 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Coupling Problems" Well, there is a very complicated description of this in your Tech Docs (look on the first MSTS CD), but in a nutshell, the bounding box describes the area around an object that will collide with another object. The paramaters are ESD_Bounding_Box (minx miny minz maxx maxy maxz) where x,y and z are the length, width and heighth axis of your car. The maxz or maxx value is probably to big for this car. You might want to open the .sd file of a similar car to get an idea of the right values. If your problem car's values are way off these, use wordpad to reduce it slightly and see if that helps. BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILE!!! Also, you must edit these files using Wordpad...If you use Notepad, it will screw the file up so MSTS can't read it anymore.I'm not absolutely sure this is the problem, but it seems like a likely culprit to me.
