Jan-13-02, 07:24 AM (EST) "Installing activitys.....Overwrite files ? yah or nay??????" As a newcomer to train sim, one thing has been bugging me about installing activitys, sometimes there is a prompt to overwrite files when installing....Any harm in doing so or should one just say no and not allow it to overwrite. I have a fresh copy of Xp and train sim installed and want to mimimise any problems with conflicts where I can..Thanks in advancePete...

What the designer is doing in this case is using one of the default .con files in their activity. I would hope that the file has not been altered in any way, which in that case it would be perfectly alright to overwrite the file. I used default .con files in my first activity, and did not alter them in any way. I am confident that other designers do the same thing, as altering these and other files have the potential of causing problems. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
