Jan-05-02, 05:33 AM (EST) "Passing paths" Has any one ever been able to remove a passing path point once its placed? I find that once I have placed one the only way to remove it and change the route is to delete the start or end point and effectively start the route over. I have even tryed the registry edit that was refered to earlier in this board to no avail. If I am missing something, I would like to know because this is getting old. "RE: Passing paths" There's something in the way you brought that up that makes me wonder why you find yourself having to delete so many passing paths, as to deleting them is 'getting old.' I'm curious why that is happening.I've deleted a fair number of passing paths the same way you have. I delete them but they still appear to be there. The best way as you say is to delete the start point. There are several options that don't just disappear when you delete them. Sometimes though, it's not that they are not being deleted, rather is the AE is poor at updating the map. You might want to try exiting that activity after deleting the passing path to see if that's the case. I don't know myself because I rarely needed to delete a passing path once it was created.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-05-02, 08:36 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Passing paths" The main issue is that the option is not available (greyed out) on the right click menu box. As far as I can remeber, I never been able to use it so I don't think its a random error that showed up in registry as has been discussed in this forum earlier. An examble of why this causes problems for me follows. Using the very helpful instructions in your payware activity guide, I try to set up a meet at Red Eagle. The eastbound player train takes the mainline and I pick "begin passing path" at the east switch on the AI path. When I run the play back, the AI train fails to take the diverging route and I end up in a stalemate at the center crossover by the wye. I am assuming that the center crossovers confuse the passing path routine. The problem now is that I can't remove the passing path and manually specify the alternate route by using "take other exit".Also, I would like to thank you for your continued involvement in the collective effort in trying to unravel the mysteries of this fun but frustrating game.Bruce Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
