Dec-20-01, 03:27 AM (EST) "FAILED TO SAVE SERVICE error message." If you get a "Failed to Save Service" message I found the following:
If ANY files associated with the activity you are trying to save have the READ ONLY attribute bit set on you will get this message.
You need to turn the read only attribute bit off for those files and you will be able to save.Vince Cockeram

Dec-22-01, 08:45 AM (EST) 2. "RE: FAILED TO SAVE SERVICE error message." I find it's always best to check the properties of all the files you unzip or are installed. You can do all the files in a directory at the same time by using Ctrl-a right-click and un check the Read-only box. It also allows the defragmenter to sort the files I believe.Richard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
