Dec-04-01, 06:28 PM (EST) "Changing start conditions for activities" I have been playing an activity where the Players train is stopped with the brakes set and reverser in neutral. What needs to be changed in the activity file to allow the players train to be running when tha activity starts? I tried changing the start speed, but it seemd to have ne effect. Dec-06-01, 11:41 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Changing start conditions for activities" LAST EDITED ON Dec-06-01 AT 11:41 AM (EST)Hi. the activity i mentioned just has the start speed set to 5 mph end speed 1mph and the player performance set to 50. i used the activity as a template and changed the GP38 to the ESE and it started out moving just fine. reverser was at 75, regulator was at zero however. i think the start speed is just that. a "boost" you still have to add throttle to it it just gives you the specified speed. try that. set the start to 5mph end to 1mph and player performance to 50. hope this helps. Dec-07-01, 04:14 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Changing start conditions for activities" Update!Found that both the .act and .svr files have Starting Speed values. Edited the '70s Juice Train files with a 20 for both files. Sim now started at 45 MPH. Will work on this over the weekend to see what values result in what start speeds. WIll post results later. Dec-10-01, 03:49 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Changing start conditions for activities" Used the '70 Juice Train activity for testing. Left the Start Speed value in the activity file at zreo (0) and cnaged the Start Speed in the service file in increments of five (5). Seemed to change the start speed in approximately 11 mph jumps. (i.e at 5 - 11MPH, 10 - 22 MPH up to 40 - 83 MPH, but quickly dropped off). Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
